Need for smaller Diameter reinforcement:- All International Codes of Practice and Indian code for reinforced construction limit the Maximum Spacing or reinforcing bars in slabs. In place of 12mm. Plain round mild steel bars, new10mm.TMT is used. progressively, with the use of higher strength reinforcing bars the demand for smaller diameter steels was being felt . The use for smaller diameter high strength reinforcing bars is not limited to slabs al one. Other applications such as ties in columns, electric poles, secondary reinforcement in beams, reinforcing steel in Hume pipes, spiral reinforcement in congruent railway sleepers, skin reinforcement of lift wells, basement walls, floors, air-field runways and pavements, water retaining structures, etc. call for application of such bars. In these applications, the minimum economic size of a reinforcing can well be below 6mm.

Kari-Bar process:- The Kari Bar process uses a new technology of simultaneous cold rolling and cold ribbing for efficient processing of smaller diameter reinforcing bars.

Kari-Bar standard size:- 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10mm.(up to 12mm.).

Standards:- Kari-Bar conforms to IS :1786/1985 grand Fe 550 DIN : 488,BS : 4483 and to other international standard.

Use:- Kari-Bar can be used as a general purpose concrete reinforcement and in R. C. C. spun pipes, electricity poles, railway sleepers, precast units, runways, as skin reinforcement, slabs, beams, pre stressed concrete units etc.

Quality:- Kari-Bar Ribbing Wires are totally cold processed materials. It is produced from tested quality of mild steel materials with restricted carbon range (0.20%max.)whereas TMT bars are hot rolled.
